Hi, I’m Naeem.
I build full-stack web experiences.

I'm a Web Application Developer based in Malaysia with around six years of experience building and improving content-driven websites, e-commerce platforms, and business applications. My work spans WordPress, Shopify, PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue, and modern frontend development. I specialise in turning business and campaign requirements into fast, maintainable digital experiences—from custom themes and plugins to Shopify enhancements, campaign registration systems, reusable components, and automated testing workflows. I currently work at Valiram, where I support digital platforms across luxury retail and e-commerce brands, including Swiss Watch, Godiva, Steve Madden, and Valiram 247. Previously, I worked on regional digital initiatives for brands such as DIOR, Jo Malone, Estée Lauder, Clinique, and MAC across Asia-Pacific markets. I care about clean implementation, practical architecture, performance, usability, and building systems that remain manageable for both developers and content teams.

PROLAB Agency Website

PROLAB wordmark in black with a lime-green circular accent

Overview

PROLAB is a Malaysia-based product development and marketing agency working across brand identity, marketing materials, visual merchandising and production. The website brings these connected capabilities into one focused digital platform while introducing the agency’s positioning, services and portfolio.

The project was delivered as a custom WordPress implementation, giving PROLAB a distinctive frontend experience alongside a practical content-management workflow for its internal team.

Challenge

PROLAB’s offering spans strategy, creative development, product development and physical production. The website needed to communicate that breadth without making the visitor journey feel fragmented or overwhelming.

It also needed to preserve the brand’s bold visual identity across desktop, tablet and mobile while remaining accessible, responsive and straightforward to maintain after launch.

Approach

  • Built a custom WordPress theme around reusable, modular PHP components.
  • Created structured content workflows for services, projects, partners and frequently asked questions.
  • Used ACF and native WordPress controls to make key website content manageable without editing code.
  • Translated PROLAB’s visual direction into responsive layouts, interactive service previews and portfolio experiences.
  • Added GSAP-powered transitions and Lenis momentum scrolling with reduced-motion support.
  • Used Vite and SCSS to organise, compile and optimise the frontend assets.
  • Applied responsive image handling, WebP conversion and performance-conscious loading practices.
  • Added production-focused security controls and a customised administration experience.

Contributions

  • Developed and launched the website as a custom WordPress implementation.
  • Built reusable theme components and responsive layouts for the homepage, service pages, project pages, project archive, FAQ, contact and error pages.
  • Developed custom post types and taxonomies for services, projects, partners and FAQs.
  • Implemented CMS-managed service previews, project galleries, portfolio content and partner listings.
  • Built responsive desktop and mobile navigation and service interactions.
  • Added smooth scrolling, viewport-triggered motion and milestone counter animations.
  • Implemented native project duplication and media-management enhancements for editors.
  • Added production security hardening, custom login styling and administrative restrictions.
  • Tested and refined the experience across common screen sizes before deployment.
  • Prepared client-facing documentation for ongoing content management and website maintenance.

Outcome

The completed website gives PROLAB a focused public platform for presenting its integrated creative, marketing and production services.

Visitors can understand the agency’s capabilities, explore its portfolio and move from discovery to enquiry through a consistent responsive experience. PROLAB’s team can manage services, projects, partners and other core content through WordPress without relying on a developer for routine updates.

Valiram Corporate Platform

Project cover for Valiram Corporate Platform

Overview

The Valiram Corporate Platform is a custom WordPress website developed to support Valiram’s multi-brand business structure across different markets and content needs. The platform uses reusable theme components, custom post types, structured content, dynamic templates and custom search functionality to make it easier for internal teams to manage brands, stores, campaigns, careers, and corporate information from a central CMS.

Challenge

The platform needed to accommodate a growing portfolio of brands, country-specific content, store information, career opportunities, and frequently updated corporate content without relying on rigid page-by-page development.

The main challenge was creating a flexible content structure that could support different brand requirements while maintaining consistent design, performance, SEO, and ease of use for content administrators. As well as the existing search experience needed to handle a wide range of content types and return more relevant results without forcing full page reloads.

Approach

  • Developed custom WordPress theme components and plugins based on the platform’s business requirements.
  • Created reusable templates and content sections to reduce duplicated development across pages.
  • Structured brand, store, career, and related content using custom post types, taxonomies, and custom fields.
  • Implemented dynamic brand pages and category-based content relationships.
  • Built country-specific and brand-specific store directory experiences.
  • Developed reusable sliders, shortcodes, filters, and content modules that could be managed through the CMS.
  • Added fallback handling for missing images, links, logos, and optional content.
  • Improved responsive behaviour, frontend performance, SEO implementation, and content maintainability.
  • Supported ongoing campaign updates, UI enhancements, bug fixes, and evolving business requirements.
  • Developed a custom AJAX-powered search experience to improve speed, usability, and result relevance.
  • Added support for searching across multiple content types, including pages, posts, brands, jobs, and other structured content.
  • Improved search-result filtering, keyword matching, and frontend responsiveness without requiring full page reloads.

Contributions

  • Led the end-to-end WordPress development of the Valiram corporate website.
  • Built custom plugins, reusable theme components, and dynamic page templates.
  • Developed brand-management features using custom post types, taxonomies, tags, and structured custom fields.
  • Implemented dynamic store directories with country, store type and brand filtering.
  • Created custom job-listing layouts, filters, taxonomies, and brand-related career sections.
  • Built reusable carousel, timeline, lookbook, reels, and content-display components.
  • Designed and implemented a custom AJAX search solution to deliver faster, more relevant search results across multiple content types.
  • Improved the search interface with dynamic result loading, keyword handling, and a smoother user experience.
  • Integrated responsive frontend behaviour using PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and WordPress APIs.
  • Worked closely with design, content, QA, and business teams to deliver enhancements and resolve production issues.
  • Maintained the platform through ongoing feature development and optimisation.

Outcome

The result is a scalable and content-driven corporate platform that allows Valiram to manage multiple brands, markets, stores, careers, campaigns, and editorial content within a unified WordPress environment.

The reusable architecture reduced the need for repeated page development, improved consistency across the website, and made future content and feature updates easier to manage as business requirements evolved.

The custom AJAX search also improved content discovery by allowing visitors to find relevant information more quickly through a faster, smoother, and more responsive search experience.
